According to the 2021 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) data, Yalova University has achieved an important success by reaching an occupancy rate of more than 90 percent in terms of the average of upper secondary education and undergraduate programs. According to the results, in which 3637 new students joined our Yalova University family, all the quotas allocated to the faculties of Medicine, Law, Islamic Sciences, Health Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Art and Design were filled.
According to the results of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) in 2021, which has made millions of university candidates realize their dreams, Yalova University, which is preferred by students for a large part of its quotas, has reached a 90 percent occupancy rate.
According to the 2021 YKS data, 1980 students were placed in the 2171 quota allocated to the associate degree departments of Yalova University, while 1657 students were placed in the 1862 quotas allocated to the undergraduate level departments. In Yalova University, where 3637 candidates were placed in 4033 quotas in total, the occupancy rate was 90.2 percent. Program occupancy rates are expected to increase further after additional placements and international student enrollments. Currently, Yalova University, which has reached an occupancy rate above its peer universities, has reached an occupancy rate that is higher than many of the state universities that were opened much earlier than itself.
The quotas of 6 faculties are 100% filled
The faculties of Human and Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Sports Sciences and Medicine, which were established as a result of the breakthroughs made by Yalova University in recent years, and their number increased to 9, attracted great attention from student candidates in the 2021 YKS marathon. In addition, all departments of the Faculty of Law, Islamic Sciences, Health Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Art and Design, especially the Faculty of Medicine, which accepted students for the first time as of the 2021-2022 academic year, achieved a 100% occupancy rate.
Number of Students Will Reach 17 Thousand
In the 2021-2022 academic year, Yalova University, which graduated approximately 2500 student, in the 2020-2021 academic year, approximately 4500 new students are expected to register with YKS additional placements, making the total number of 17000 with students registered with YKS and international students.
