The first National Women and Family Symposium was held in 2023, hosted by the Yalova University Women and Family Research Application and Research Centre (YÜKAM). And the second was held in 2024 under the auspices of the Fırat University Women's Studies Application and Research Centre (FÜKÇAM) as the ‘International Women's Studies Conference.’This year, the International Symposium on Women and Family Empowerment, hosted by the Düzce University Women's Studies Application and Research Centre, will be held in Düzce on 22-24 October, with the participation of YÜKAM, FÜKÇAM, Giresun University Women and Family Studies Application and Research Centre (GÜKAM), Kilis 7 December University Women and Family Studies Application and Research Centre (KADAMER), Sakarya University Women's Studies Application and Research Centre (SAUKAM), Sinop University Women's Studies Application and Research Centre (SİNKAMER), Süleyman Demirel University Women's Issues Research and Application Centre (SDÜKASAUM), Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Eastern Mediterranean University Women's Studies and Education Centre (KAEM) and Azerbaijan University". With the declaration of 2025 as the ‘Year of the Family,’ the multidimensional approach to the institution of the family and the scientific evaluation of women's roles in all areas of social life have become more important than ever. The Symposium, which will be organised within this scope, aims to address women's and family issues with an interdisciplinary approach and to increase knowledge in this field. The Symposium will be held in person and online.
