The “Let a Book Be Your Ticket, Yalova” social responsibility campaign, carried out in collaboration with the Yalova Governor’s Office, Yalova University, Yalova Municipality and the ‘Let a Book Be Your Ticket’ Community, has been launched. Launched across Yalova and set to run for one year, this campaign aims to provide 77,000 books to 77 school libraries, thereby increasing pupils’ access to high-quality publications, strengthening school libraries and promoting a culture of reading.
The donated books will be distributed to school libraries across Yalova following the necessary assessments by the Classification Committee that has been established; they will contribute to the educational journey of our children and young people. As part of this meaningful campaign, everyone is invited to the ‘Unforgettable Songs’ Concert, organised under the banner of ‘Let a Book Be Your Ticket, Yalova’, which will take place on Monday 22 June 2026 at 8.00 pm at the Barış Manço Open-Air Theatre.
The concert, featuring TRT artists Mehsem ÖZŞİMŞİR and Alp ARSLAN, will bring together the unifying power of music and a love of books on the same stage. The concert is free of charge. However, the most valuable ‘ticket’ to this special event is a book. Those wishing to support the campaign are encouraged to bring at least one book with them to donate upon entry to the concert venue, which will add value for us all.
