Patent Achievement

Yalova University has achieved yet another significant success in its efforts to transform scientific research into innovative and value-added outcomes. A patent application relating to an invention by Associate Professor Güneş BOLATLI and Dr Esin ERBEK, academics from the Department of Anatomy within the Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine, has been granted a patent following an examination by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.

The application, filed on 13 May 2026 under application number 2026/007547, was granted a patent by decision of the Directorate General of Patents of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office dated 19 August 2026.

This achievement serves as an important example of how scientific research conducted at Yalova University extends beyond academic publications to produce innovative outputs with intellectual and industrial property value.
