The 2nd International Yalova Film Festival, which will take place between 15-18 October 2025, began with a parade.
Following the parade, the opening ceremony commenced with the participation of our Rector Prof. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, provincial officials, numerous directors, screenwriters, and invited guests.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, our Rector emphasised that art is one of the most important social values and stated that Yalova University always supports art and artists.
The film Uzun Hikaye (Long Story), screened in a special section dedicated to the memory of the master director Osman Sınav, whom we lost this year, attracted great public interest. The special award given in the name of Osman Sınav was presented to his son, Yusuf Ömer Sınav.
Throughout the festival, free panels, workshops, concerts and film screenings await you at the Raif Dinçkök Cultural Centre, Star AVM and Özdilek AVM!
