Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu was the guest of our university after the Affiliation Protocol Signing Ceremony held at Yalova Governorship. Minister Memişoğlu, who attended the opening ceremony of the Faculty of Art and Design building and the groundbreaking ceremony of the dining hall and library building, said, “Yalova is a province that is very open to development, struggling for development, and has people who are really dedicated to this. Today we are witnessing a new beginning for Yalova.”
In addition to the provincial protocol, academic and administrative staff and students attended the opening and groundbreaking ceremony held at our university.Addressing the participants at the ceremony, Memişoğlu said, “There is something our President says; to concern yourself about work. When this happens, there is nothing that cannot be overcome. Concerning yourself about and dedication to work brings success. This is a science center. I especially tell my fellow students that dedication and concern, as well as idealism, bring success to everyone. See that people's source of life is to fulfill their ideals. We open libraries so that people can learn and solve their problems. Turkey has come to very good places in the last 20 years under the leadership of a dedicated leader. And we are a very valuable country that is respected in the world. As our President said, we are at your service. In fact, we are servants. I would like to say especially to young people; Higher Education Institutions are the architects of the future of society. The students you raise and educate are the people who will manage health in the future and bring it to better places. It is our success that their educational environment, working environment and logic are good. We made an affiliation today. This is a beginning. What is this beginning? It is to provide a much better, harmonious, success-oriented health education and service. As a ministry, we are always thinking about what we can do better to train our students. Our support is with you forever. We are one of the countries offering the best healthcare services in the world.”
“Yalova is very open to development”
Minister Memişoğlu said, “We offer a health service that touches our people 1 billion times annually. We deliver it to our people in the remotest corners of Turkey, in every region, free of charge, fully covered by social security. There is no surgery or treatment that cannot be performed in Turkey. We have the world's best health infrastructure in terms of both manpower and infrastructure, and we have qualified manpower. This is not enough for us, there is one thing I always say from now on. We need to produce in health. Our President's goal is a healthy Turkey. His instruction to us is a health system that develops and produces. Production is not only with us, but also with scientists and universities. We will not only do theoritical science anymore. Therefore, I don't want the affiliation to be seen only as a hospital service. We want this affiliation to turn into an ecosystem that will benefit Turkey and what our scientists produce. Yalova is a province that is very open to development, a province that is in the throes of development, a province where there are people who are really dedicated to this.” Stating that they will continue to support the production of science at universities, Minister Memişoğlu said that they aim to establish an ecosystem that will benefit Turkey. Memişoğlu also stated that our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı is a chance for Yalova University with his productive and concerned structure.
“We will continue our investments in Yalova”
AK Party Deputy Chairman and Yalova MP Ahmet Büyükgümüş said in his speech that they are proud to have brought a very large and powerful health service to Yalova and added, “We realize every step we take and every service we do with great faith. We will continue to work to contribute to the growth of Turkey with new investments such as the Faculty of Art and Design that we have brought to Yalova University.” AK Party MP Meliha Akyol, on the other hand, shared with the participants the joy she experienced with the completion of the affiliation process as a result of years of labor and patience, and said, “We will continue our services to Yalova with the great support of our President.”
“We Are Starting A New Era”
Addressing the participants at the opening ceremony of the Faculty of Art and Design building and the groundbreaking ceremony of the Library-Cafeteria building, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı stated that they continue to serve Yalova with the vision of the Turkish Century and said, “Today, we are witnessing three very meaningful and strategic developments for Yalova University. On the one hand, while officially opening the new building of our Faculty of Art and Design and laying the foundation of our dining hall and library building, we are also starting a new process with the affiliation protocol that will affect the future of Yalova.”
“Our faculty will serve Yalova”
Stating that the Faculty of Art and Design was proposed to the investment program in 2021 and designed in accordance with contemporary art and design education on an area of approximately 7 thousand square meters, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı continued his words as follows: “This is not only a faculty building, but also a production area that will mobilize Yalova's cultural and artistic potential. In this sense, we see this step taken in line with the importance given to higher education by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his vision of education that prioritizes cultural development as a very valuable contribution to the qualified human resources of our country.”
“Our library will be a bridge between the past and the future”
Providing information about the library and dining hall building with a total closed area of 10 thousand square meters, Prof. Dr. Bahçekapılı said, “We have started this project in the presence of you, our esteemed guests. Our 344 million Turkish Lira project is a product of our university's efforts to provide a more qualified social and academic environment for its students and staff. This investment will bring not only a physical but also a mental and social capacity increase for our university and our city. We draw our strength from our roots. Our library will be a bridge between the past and the future and will provide added value to our Yalova.”
“We act with the vision of our President”
Stating that all the projects implemented at Yalova University are a concrete output of the education strategy shaped under the leadership of President Erdoğan, who demonstrates Turkey's will to grow in every field and strongly supports the vision of science, art and human-centered development, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı said, “As Yalova University, we are determined to do our part in line with this vision and to realize the investments that will make Yalova a regional center of attraction.”
“The works were examined on site”
After the protocol speeches, the opening ribbon of the Faculty of Art and Design was cut. After the groundbreaking ceremony of the Library and Dining Hall Building, the guests toured the Faculty of Art and Design. Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu and the accompanying delegation also closely examined the artistic products prepared by our students.
