Hasan Soygüzel, Chairman of the Yalova Provincial Assembly, visited our university and met with our Rector, Prof. Mehmet Bahçekapılı.
During the visit, Soygüzel and Rector Bahçekapılı inspected the campus area and assessed the new living space to be added to our university through the development works being carried out along the coastal strip.
Our Rector, Prof. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, stated that our campus, located close to the sea, will become more integrated with its natural surroundings and acquire a modern and functional structure with the planned works. He noted that the area extending along the coastal strip will be transformed into a ‘living village’ concept in line with our university's community- and environment-conscious, sustainability-focused vision.
In this context, landscape arrangements, walking paths and green space designs will create a new living area open to both our students and the people of Yalova, supporting social interaction.
Noting that the project was implemented in collaboration with the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, our Rector expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Special Administration, as well as Yalova MPs Mr Ahmet Büyükgümüş and Mrs Meliha Akyol, and Provincial Assembly Chairman Mr Hasan Soygüzel for their contributions to the process.
