Peer Visit Program Organized for Quality and Accreditation Processes

On June 19, 2025, Yalova University Quality Coordination organized a comprehensive experience sharing and peer review program on quality and accreditation processes.

During the first session of the day held in the Senate Hall, Prof. Dr. Gürcü Koç, Faculty Member and Quality Coordinator at Gazi University's Faculty of Education, gave a presentation to members of Yalova University's Quality Commission, sharing examples of applications and field experiences related to the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) process. The presentation emphasized topics such as preparing for the peer review process, creating a self-assessment report, evidence collection methods, and institutionalizing a culture of quality.

The second session, held in the Rectorate Conference Hall, was attended by unit leaders, governance and quality coordinators involved in the university's quality organization structure, as well as vocational school directors and faculty deans. During the event, assessments were made on how accreditation preparations carried out across the institution could be managed more effectively and sustainably.

Participants shared their opinions, experiences, and suggestions during the question-and-answer session at the end of the program, thereby strengthening cooperation on quality processes. Prof. Dr. Senay Yürür Karslıoğlu, Vice Rector responsible for quality, expressed her gratitude to Prof. Dr. Gürcü Koç, noting that such experience-sharing activities make important contributions to the university's institutional development.

On the second day of the program, one-on-one peer review interviews and field analyses will be conducted at the Faculty of Law and Yalova Vocational School.
