The Board of Medical Specialisation (TUK) has announced that six main departments within Yalova Training and Research Hospital, which has an affiliation protocol with our University, have been certified to provide specialist training and have been granted ‘Training Clinic’ status.
In accordance with Decision No. 2765 adopted at the 145th meeting of the Board of Medical Specialisation held on 7 January 2026, the following specialisations at Yalova Training and Research Hospital have been included in the scope of the ‘Authorised Specialisation Training Programme’:
* Emergency Medicine
* Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Disorders
* General Surgery
* Internal Medicine
* Neurology
* Orthopaedics and Traumatology
With this decision, Yalova Education and Research Hospital has gone beyond being merely a centre providing healthcare services and has strengthened its status as an academic educational institution where specialist medical students (assistant physicians) are trained.
Within this scope, assistant physicians currently undergoing specialist training in the relevant branches will be able to apply for transfer in accordance with the relevant legislation. In addition, physicians preparing for the Medical Specialisation Examination (TUS) will be able to follow announcements regarding vacancies that will be opened in the coming periods.
