We organised a “Support for Palestine” press conference in collaboration with the Yalova Support for Palestine Platform, which was attended by a large number of participants, including our Rector, Prof. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, our Vice-Rectors, Deans, General Secretary, Heads of Departments and staff.
In our united statement following Friday prayers, we emphasised that the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in the region constitutes a ‘genocide’, and once again voiced our firm opposition to unlawful death sentences and attacks on our holy sites. As the Yalova University family, we remain resolute in our commitment to defending fundamental human rights, standing by justice, and being the voice of the oppressed.
