The 186th anniversary of the Gendarmerie General Command was celebrated with ceremonies and events held in Yalova. The ceremony, held at the July 15 Democracy and Republic Square, was attended by Yalova Governor Dr. Hülya Kaya, Karamürselbey Training Center and Garrison Commander Rear Admiral Mehmet Tahir Göncüoğlu, provincial protocol members, and many citizens.
Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Senay Yürür Karslıoğlu was also present at the ceremony on behalf of our university. At the ceremony, which attracted great interest from citizens, awards were presented to students who won poetry and painting competitions organized to mark the anniversary of the Gendarmerie Organization. The gendarmerie stands set up as part of the event were visited with great interest by protocol members and citizens.
