As part of TEKNOFEST 2025, the second stage of the TEKNOFEST Drone Championship, organised under the leadership of the T3 Foundation and Defence Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc. (STM), brought together technology and speed enthusiasts at the Yalova Atatürk Stadium.
Out of 182 applications, 22 individual FPV (First Person View) race pilots from 13 different provinces, who successfully completed the first stage held at TEKNOFEST KKTC, competed fiercely in the second stage. The competitions were conducted using only an analogue video transmission system. Competitors were evaluated based on criteria such as speed, timing, agility, and obstacle-crossing success.
The championship, which continued with ranking flights over the two-day stage, progressed through an elimination system. At the end of the stage, the top-ranked competitors not only received cash prizes but also earned the right to represent Turkey at the internationally prestigious World Drone Cup.
At the end of the competition,
• The first place winner received 30,000 TL,
• The second place winner received 20,000 TL,
• And the third place winner received 10,000 TL.
Additionally, all competitors were provided with a set of motors for technical support.
The event was attended by Mr. Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the T3 Foundation, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, local officials, and numerous guests. The exciting races concluded with an award ceremony.
