Our heroic police officers Yasin Koçyiğit, İlker Pehlivan and Turgut Külünk, who were martyred during an operation against the ISIS terrorist organisation in Yalova, were laid to rest in a formal ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by our Minister of the Interior, Mr Ali Yerlikaya, the provincial protocol and a large number of citizens.
Representing our university, our Rector, Prof. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, also attended the ceremony, ensuring our martyrs were not alone on their final journey.
We pray for God's mercy upon our beloved martyrs and offer our condolences to their grieving families and our nation.
