Yalova University 3rd Quality Commission and Advisory Board Meeting Held

The Yalova University Quality Commission and Advisory Board Meeting was held on 30 October 2025 in the Rectorate Conference Hall, chaired by our Rector, Prof.  Mehmet Bahçekapılı.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rectors, members of the University Quality Commission, members of the Advisory Board, a student representative and an alumni representative.

At the opening, our Vice-Rector responsible for quality, Prof. Senay Yürür Karslıoğlu, gave a comprehensive presentation on the university's quality and accreditation processes. Subsequently, the results of the unit field visits conducted between 6 and 17 October 2025 as part of the preparations for the Institutional Accreditation Programme (KAP) were evaluated.

During the meeting, the current situation was analysed from the perspective of administrators, academic and administrative staff, students, graduates, and external stakeholders, and strengths, areas for improvement, and priority objectives were discussed.

As a result of the meeting;
    •    Ativities will continue to be carried out within the framework of the SP–PUKÖ cycle,
    •    Quality processes will be planned in two periods via BKYS as of 2026,
    •    BKYS authorisation will be given primarily to unit quality commission chairs, with unit quality coordinators also being authorised upon request,
    •    Feedback mechanisms will be developed to strengthen student participation,
    •    Work will be done to harmonise the University Advisory Board Guidelines and the Quality Commission Guidelines,
    •    Initiating the preparation of a new Social Contribution Guideline,
    •    Commencing improvement efforts in areas with low satisfaction levels in the results of the Leadership Survey, which was implemented for the first time.
