Yalova University Participated in the NAFSA 2026 International Education Fair

Yalova University took part in the NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference & Expo, one of the world’s largest international higher education and exchange organisations, held in Orlando, United States, from 27 to 30 May 2026. Our university was represented within the ‘Study in Türkiye’ Pavilion, established under the coordination of the Turkish National Agency, where it showcased its internationalisation efforts and opportunities for academic collaboration.

Yalova University was represented at the fair by Vice-Rector Prof. Cahit Külekçi and International Relations Coordinator Lecturer Oğuzhan Köse. Throughout the event, dozens of bilateral meetings were held with higher education institutions from various regions of the world, laying the foundations for new collaborations. During the fair, important meetings were also held with Mr İlker Astarcı, President of the National Agency, and Mr Fatih Savaşan, Education Counsellor in Washington DC.

Within the scope of the fair, cooperation agreements were signed with the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, Luxor University, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Adamas University, and agreements were reached to implement new Erasmus agreements with various universities from Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Morocco, Indonesia, China, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia and Portugal.

The discussions held and agreements signed as part of NAFSA 2026 have made a significant contribution to Yalova University’s objectives of enhancing its international visibility and expanding its global academic network. Our university will continue to work resolutely in the coming period to strengthen its international partnerships and increase student and staff mobility.
