Accreditation Processes organized by Yalova University Quality Coordinatorship: Program Accreditation and Institutional Accreditation Training was held in the Rectorate Senate Room and Mehmet Okul Congress and Culture Center.
The program, which was followed by our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı throughout the day and attended by Prof. Dr. Macid Fikret Suner from Istanbul Technical University as an instructor, focused on quality processes and the importance of accreditation.
With 45 years of academic experience and having contributed to accreditation processes since 2000, Prof. Dr. Suner provided comprehensive information on the establishment of quality assurance systems in universities, and, program and institutional accreditation processes.
Within the scope of the training, all members of Yalova University Quality Organization structure, academic unit quality commission chairs, university quality student representatives and Quality Club students were also present. A total of 264 people participated in the training
The event started in the morning in the Rectorate Senate Room. The role of managers in accreditation processes and quality assurance systems were discussed in the opening session where the top management of the university took part.
Then, in sessions for unit quality commission chairs, the relationship between program accreditation and institutional accreditation, the main differences and application principles were detailed.
In the afternoon session held at Mehmet Okul Congress and Culture Center, topics such as the stages of the accreditation process, evaluation criteria, reporting processes, continuous improvement approach and communication with stakeholders were discussed.
At the end of the training, participants asked questions about accreditation processes and held an interactive discussion.
