Yalova University celebrated March 14th Medical Day with great enthusiasm. Provincial protocol, academic and administrative staff and student parents showed great interest in the program held at Mehmet Okul Congress and Culture Center.

Yalova University Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Nurşah Başol, who made the opening speech of the program, stated that the Medical Day is a tribute to physicians and that they are very proud of the White Coat Wearing Ceremony organized for the first time this year for the students of the Faculty of Medicine.

Yalova University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı emphasized that the university continues to grow with 738 academic staff and 500 administrative staff, and said that they do not deviate from their goal of raising well-equipped, ethical and human-oriented professionals for the country's health sector with the education and research opportunities they offer in the field of health sciences.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı stated that after the establishment of the Morphology Building and Anatomy Laboratory, the physical infrastructure of other multidisciplinary laboratories has been completed, and that the academic staff working at the Faculty of Medicine has reached a total of 50 faculty members, including 7 professors, 7 associate professors and 36 doctor faculty members.
He also announced that the Higher Education Council approved the “Draft Joint Use Guidelines between the Ministry of Health and Yalova University” and the “Preliminary Evaluation Report of the Joint Use Protocol between Yalova State Hospital and Yalova University”, which is an important step for the university's development in the field of health, and announced that an important stage has been reached in the affiliation process.
