Visit from IMEAK Chamber of Shipping to Yalova Vocational School
In order to support the development of the maritime sector and to strengthen the cooperation between education and the business world, the delegation responsible for education headed by Vedat DOĞUSEL, President of the Kocaeli Branch of the Chamber of Shipping, and representatives from Istanbul visited our Vocational School on 17 January 2025.
The delegation met with the teaching staff of the School and exchanged ideas on their support for the education process and sustainable seafarer employment. During the visit, the evaluation of opportunities to expand the professional vision of our students and to establish a stronger bond with the sector, the adaptation of maritime education to current technological developments and the career opportunities of young seafarers were also discussed.
Within the scope of this visit, a consensus was reached on the development of new cooperation projects and training programmes in line with the needs of the sector. The visit ended with the determination of both sides to meet more frequently in the future.
